Open Position: Part-time Marketing Specialist

A part-time marketing specialist position is available for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual who can work with minimal direction to assist in marketing communications and public relations.

Candidate must have expertise in using MS Office Suite 2003/2007. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator is helpful; able to be creative in a business context and generate marketing ideas; possess strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrate knowledge or desire to work in the IT industry; posess an associates degree in marketing or equivalent experience and knowledge in principles, theories, and practices of marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in marketing strategy and planning.
  • Interview and write outlines for marketing materials such as testimonials, case studies, press releases, brochures, newsletters, websites, podcasts, Twitter, Facebook, and other B2B social networking opportunities.Conduct customer quality surveys and track data.
  • Assist in maintaining CRM and client-related data.
  • Track competitive information.
  • Attend trade shows and other networking events to develop leads.
  • Perform follow up calls on various marketing campaigns.
  • Work with outside contractors and vendors.
